3/24

3 ways mechanization manifested itself in the film was
1. it showed how our meat is tossed down the assembly line... actually how most things are
2. it showed how our mcdonalds burgers come from pink slime
3. it also showed how just about everything that we eat has corn in it

One aspect of my life that relates to this film is me eating chicken. I saw how chicken are raised and the time it now takes for them to grow, and it is not right. Beef as well when they are fed corn instead of naturally eating grass and being grass fed beef once brought to the butcher.

He develops his story by giving an image of not only the characters but each situation, this is also how he makes his characters real because of the images he creates. A literary device used was indeed dramatic irony because The twist he  incorporated was the unthinkable, the using of the bees royal jelly turned his daughter into one.

He talks about the grave sites where the body parts came from. He called it beautiful but in only a way he would understand. He clearly is determined because of the time he spent on creating this monster. I beleive the theme here is that we create our own monsters. Dr. Frakenstein said "as he kissed her on her lips the hue of death came about". The main theme here is that we create our own monsters. He was so excited that his creation was finished and then he began to fear it.

Hw Feb 12 Kubla Khan

.1.My pleasure dome would be luxurious like Kubla khan a place of no worries
2a. Built alongside a river fed by a fountain
2b. The fact that kubla makes it so beautiful
3a. The chasm send violent bursts/blasts of water
3b. That a wild chaotic force in art can even be beautiful
Essential Question:
The settings demonstrate romantics because in the poem even a warlord like kubla can have an exotic fantastic pleasure dome/ a place of solitude. This place was very romantic due to its exotic beauty the fact that it was built on the river with the chasm that gave powerful blasts.

The Mariner's life long penenace is to tell his tale. his story affects his listener by telling them how not to make the same mistakes as him, to prevent them from losing and going through the same hellish battle as him, how to survive. He tells them to love and respect everything from God, and thi give the listeners a new perspective on how they live their lives. A lesson about human life his story suggests is that if you keep fighting and believing you will be victorious.

Adopting lesson of Poem

This is an easy lesson to be adopted by modern society from this poem because till this day there are people who dislike the inner city world. They dislike the fact that in order to build there you must destroy and that's what happens waste and destruction. Compared to nature where it is filled with untouched god given beauty, Uninhabited land where you can be at peace knowing everything there is natural.

Roald Dahl backround

Roald Dahls parents were born in Norway but he was born in Wales. He went to a prep school which he hated.
